An Introduction

Hello friends!

Welcome to my very first blog post ever.

I originally got the idea to start a blog because I’m going to be participating in the Disney College Program in Fall 2018, and I wanted to keep a “public journal”, if you will, for my friends and family to follow along on all my Disney adventures. This summer, however, I’m going to be interning for a digital advertising agency called Wunderman in Seattle. And, since I want to go into advertising as a career, I decided it would be fun to do some blogging over the summer about the advertising industry and my experiences as an intern. I also wanted a place to blog about random fun experiences and also about health & fitness because I’m a half marathon runner and I love living a healthy lifestyle. With that being said, there will be 3 sections on my blog: Disney, Advertising, and Lifestyle!

Now that you know what this blog is all about, here’s a little more about me!

I’m recently (literally this month) graduated from the University of Arizona in May 2018 as a marketing major… wow that sounds crazy to say! I graduated an entire year early due to some college credit I got in high school and a couple summers of classes. I really didn’t try that hard to graduate early- but I also didn’t want to figure out how to prolong my time in college either, it just kind of happened!

I loved going to the U of A, especially because I’m from Seattle so getting away from the rainy weather for college was a must.

Although it was a great experience to get out of the Seattle area for a while and become independent without my family around, it truly made me realize how much I love where I’m from! Seattle is unlike anywhere I’ve ever visited- the scenery is incredibly beautiful, the sports teams are so much fun, and everything is so fresh and crisp compared to Arizona. Seattle is also where my boyfriend and I’s families are, and I think we’re both looking forward to getting back to where we can see them every day.

Before I move back to Seattle and jump into the “real world”, I have one last college-ish thing to do... The Disney College Program! In August 2018, I’ll be moving down to Anaheim, California to live and work at the Disneyland Resort. I’ll be working as a vacation planner through the college program, and living in the Disney-sponsored housing at Carnegie Plaza. This experience is truly once in a lifetime, and is something I’ve wanted to do since I was a little girl so I can’t wait to be living out this dream.

I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences with you and having you along for the ride as I journey through my 20s. :)
